ASIUWHU ENLIGHTENS DELTANS ON ENVIRONMENT RELATED ISSUES.
Today, 5th of May 2023, the Honourable Commissioner of Environment, Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, was at Crown FM Asaba, in order to enlighten Deltans on issues bordering environmental challenges and measures of averting or overcoming them.
Majorly, he emphasized on the importance of keeping our environment clean, because a clean reduces the outbreak of diseases & checkmating mosquitoes related sickness in our society.
Also, he hammered on the National Emergency Management Agency’s warning of impending flooding this year. That, this shouldn’t be handled lightly, For this, it requires every hands on deck to enables us avert the averse effect that the flood may bring.
Thereafter, he advised that, that clearing our drainages and opening up all blocked water channels to ensure free flow will play a major key role in reducing the degree of the flooding this year.
